Importing the transport files for new SAP R3 4.70 installations

Prerequisite

Ensure that you have completed the steps in Server-side installation of new installations for SAP R3 4.70.

Procedure

The transport import is a standard procedure that consists of two files (K900nnn.W4D and R900nnn.W4D), where nnn is an SAP generated number.

  1. Goto DIR_TRANS path (e.g. /usr/sap/trans on Windows NT) (e.g. \usr\sap\trans on UNIX) and copy the files into the subdirectories "cofiles" and "data" as shown below:
  2. The K_ file is to be copied into "cofiles" directory and R_file is to be copied into the "data" directory.
  3. Log on in SAPGUI and start transaction STMS and select the import queue for the target system.
  4. Go to menu option Others > Extras > Other Requests > Add, enter request W4DK900nnn.
  5. Selct the request number W4DK900nnn.
  6. Go to Menu option Request > Import, to Import the W4DK900nnn into the system.
  7. If your target client is not 000, ensure that you select the option Ignore Non-Permitted Table Class.
