Licensing

With CENTRAL, you can manage all licenses for all Winshuttle products that are used in your company. Use CENTRAL to add licenses and keep track of licenses as users leave or change departments. The following is a basic license overview. For full details of your license purchase, consult Winshuttle Support or Winshuttle Sales.

Your licenses may be grouped in either of two ways:

• Workgroup Studio: TRANSACTION, QUERY, Direct
  • RUNNER
  • CENTRAL
• Enterprise Studio: TRANSACTION, QUERY, Direct, Designer.

  Studio can include one or the other of two varieties of license:

  • Professional: for Mass Uploads
  • Standard: for Single Uploads

For Workgroup Studio, for each Winshuttle product license, whether QUERY, TRANSACTION, RUNNER, one CENTRAL license is assigned. For example, suppose you have 100 CENTRAL licenses. If you have 5 QUERY users, and 5 TRANSACTION users, and 10 users of both QUERY and TRANSACTION, 20 CENTRAL licenses are used and 80 remain unassigned. Note that if a single user has both a TRANSACTION and QUERY license, only one CENTRAL license is assigned.

For Enterprise Studio, users can use any product in the package.

• Foundation: Used only with Enterprise Studio. Foundation product-licenses appear as the following products:
  • Winshuttle Application Server, which includes CENTRAL and Workflow
  • Winshuttle SAP Integration Server, which supports SERVER for TRANSACTION and SERVER for QUERY
  • Winshuttle SAP Function Module
