Migrating Data to Winshuttle SERVER Version 10.4

Winshuttle provides the Winshuttle SERVER Data Migration Utility to migrate data from version 10.3 to Winshuttle SERVER 10.4. The Utility is available as a separate download. To receive the utility, contact Winshuttle Support.

  1. Double-click the file WinshuttleServer.ServerTools.DataImporter.exe to launch the Winshuttle SERVER Data Migration Utility.
  2. Click Create a new database file.
  3. Select SQLite or SQL Server.
  4. Specify the location and name for the new SQLite database path.
  5. Select the option Migrate data from old database to new database.
  6. Specify the path and location of the existing Winshuttle SERVER 10.3 database.
  7. Re-enter the name and location of the new database file and click Next.

  8. To specify the new URL of the CENTRAL site, select Move all published services to new Winshuttle SERVER URL. Enter the URL for your new CENTRAL site.

    If you are retaining the same site URL for CENTRAL, clear this option. The URL field for the site becomes unavailable.

  9. Select Update namespace of migrated services to update the namespace for SERVER 10.4 published services as http://winshuttle.com/server/ from the old default namespace http://tempuri.org.
  10. Select Add RunWithSapCreds method to migrated services to enable this method in published web services for TRANSACTION and QUERY. When this option is enabled, you can use SAP credentials to publish web services.
  11. If the CENTRAL site URL has change, select Migrate Winshuttle CENTRAL URL in published services to update the URLs for existing web services. If CENTRAL site URLs will change during the migration, select Migrate Winshuttle CENTRAL URL in published services to update the URLs for existing web services.

  12. Click Migrate.
  13. On successful migration, the utility displays the message, "Data migration completed successfully."
