Configuring Email Approvals

You can set up an email account to receive emails from workflow participants. This allows email-based approval or rejection of workflow assignments outside of SharePoint. To configure email approvals:

  1. Create a dedicated email account on your email server. For example, SVemail.
  2. In the sharevis.config file, set the following keys (about lines 48 – 51):

EMailApprovalAddress

Full email address to send all Workflow assignment-related emails.

EMailApprovalUser

The name of the email account.

 

EMailApprovalPassword

The password for the account. This can either be clear text or encrypted.

EMailApprovalMailServer

The name of the email server.
