How to change a field name

To change a field name in a Transaction script, do the following:

  1. In Winshuttle Transaction, click Update Mapping.
  2. Check each Field Description for each mapped field in the script. This is the name that Designer and InfoPath will use.

    Winshuttle recommends changing a field name before importing a script into Designer to maintain consistency throughout all of the files. This also eliminates the need to edit items in InfoPath later.

  3. Locate the field for which you want to change the description.
  4. Double-click the field description
  5. Edit the description.
  6. Save the script.

    Note: Winshuttle Query versions 10.x do NOT allow the field names to be modified, hence all queries are imported into Designer with the default field names from Query.
