With QUERY, you can schedule unattended query runs, including runs of linked queries.
Queries can be scheduled only after the script is approved after submitting to Central. For more information, see "Sending a file for approval".
Winshuttle Query offers two ways to schedule, which are dependent on the type of destination for the query output:
Note: To run a scheduled script on a virtual machine (VM) with Windows 7 or later or Windows Server 2008 or later, you must remain logged on to the VM.
For information about running Winshuttle with Citrix, see Citrix installation with Winshuttle products.
Note: System post is currently not available for Winshuttle Query.

Run Later (SERVER)
In a Winshuttle Central deployment, you can schedule a query to run on Central and send extracted data to Excel files, SharePoint lists, or to a SQL server database by using the SAP system account that is assigned in CENTRAL. To use Run Later (SERVER), Winshuttle SERVER must be a part of your deployment and you must have the correct permissions in Central to run files. If SERVER is not available in your deployment, the Run Later (SERVER) option is not available. Note that Excel files must have first been submitted to Central for approval before they can be scheduled to run.
On selecting the Run Later (SERVER) option and clicking Run (from Excel add-in or QUERY client), the following Web-based screen from CENTRAL appears.
On the second page of the wizard, you can select the SAP system on which you want to run the file. The SAP system lists show only the application servers for which the current user has SAP credentials stored on the CENTRAL site.
In page 3 of the wizard, specify when you want the query to run.
• Policy checks are performed on your credentials for the time when this file is scheduled. If you are restricted by a policy from running this file at the scheduled date and time, you are notified.
• Policy checks are performed again at the time of execution on SERVER.
Jobs must be edited from CENTRAL. The Manage Scheduled Jobs from CENTRAL button the Scheduled job list in CENTRAL from within QUERY.
To open the Scheduled jobs pane
On the Tools tab , click the Scheduler button
.
When the scheduled job pane opens, a calendar view is displayed, with each scheduled job as a calendar item. Each item shows a 30-minute duration, regardless of how long the actual job might take.
Note: If you are using the App Model version of Central, you cannot reschedule a task in the Calendar view. Instead, you must delete the scheduled task and create a new scheduled task.
To edit a schedule
You can view scheduled jobs in a grid that contains columns for each descriptor.
