Prepare the installation

To load the package directly from front-end (recommended, faster)

Ensure that you have the latest version of the SAPCAR tool available on the server. To get latest SAPCAR, refer to OSS Note 212876 – "The new archiving tool SAPCAR."

  1. Start the transaction SAINT.
  2. On the Installation Package Menu, point to Load Packages, and then click From Front End.

To load the package with the add-on installation tool from the application server

  1. Log in as user:
    <sid>adm to UNIX
    <SID>OFR to AS/400 (IBM eServer iSeries)
    <SID>adm to Windows NT
  2. To upload the file, use the transaction CG3Z Target path DIR_TRANS. mentioned in Step 3 below.
  3. Change to the transport directory of your SAP System. The transport directory also appears under the name Transaction AL11 under DIR_TRANS.
  4. Change to the EPS directory, and then change to the "in" directory.
  5. Extract WNSQ10II.SAR with the latest version of the SAPCAR tool. The SAR file becomes the < >.PAT file.

    The command to extract using SAPCAR is SAPCAR –xvf WNSQ30GI.SAR.

  6. Ensure that the <>.PAT file is extracted to the "in" subdirectory of "EPS." The "EPS" directory is located under the transport directory (Directory Path is DIR_TRANS\EPS\in).
  7. On the Installation Package Menu, point to Load Packages, and then click From Application Server.
