Add an SAP system

When you click the Add System button in the SAP Logon box, you have a couple of options: You can add an application server or, if your organization uses a group logon, you can add a message server. You will need to get the SAP system information from your SAP admin or BASIS team.

Application server

  1. Enter the values for the Application server and the System number.
  2. If you are using SNC without SSO do the following:
    1. Check the Activate secure network communication (SNC) box.
    2. Type the SNC name.
    3. Choose a security level.
    4. Check the SNC logon with user name and password box.

Group logon

  1. To use a group logon, click Group Logon.
  2. Enter the SAP system ID.
  3. Enter the Logon group.
  4. Enter the Message server and the Message server port.
  5. If you are using SNC without SSO do the following:
    1. Check the Activate secure network communication (SNC) box.
    2. Type the SNC name.
    3. Choose a security level.
    4. Check the SNC password with user name and password box.
