Enabling Logging

As part of troubleshooting you may be required to supply Winshuttle Designer logs. The following steps outline how to enable logging to track an issue.

  1. One the Designer menu bar, click the Tools menu, and then click Options.
  2. Click the Others tab.
  3. Check Enable Logging.
  4. Choose a Log Directory location where the log file will be stored, and then click OK.

Once enabled, you can recreate an issue and capture it in the log file--and (if necessary) send the log file to Winshuttle Support for assistance.

Disabling logging

  1. One the Designer menu bar, click the Tools menu, and then click Options.
  2. Click the Others tab.
  3. Uncheck Enable Logging.
