Make sure that all minimum system requirements have been met, and have the following ready or available:

  • Administrator level permissions for the server on which you want to install Winshuttle Server.
  • The version of Erlang OTP and Rabbit MQ for your Winshuttle Server version:

The Winshuttle SAPIS Server Manager Component is deployed on an IIS web server, and IIS must be enabled on the machine where Server Manager is installed.

To deploy Winshuttle Server, you must provide credentials for multiple accounts. See the following table for descriptions of the required accounts.




Setup User To install the Server software

Local administrator on the server on which Winshuttle Server will be installed

IIS Service Account This account runs the IIS application pool for Server
  • Local administrator on server
  • Db_datareader
  • Db_datawriter
Windows Service Account This account runs the Winshuttle Server Worker service. Local Administrator on the server
SQL Server Service Account Used to install the Server Database The following server roles are required in order to install the database: DBCreator or SysAdmin fixed server role on SQL server instance

Note: SQL Aliases are not currently supported.
