Supported Languages

We support language packs for SharePoint 2010/ 2013 for English, German, French, and Spanish. (However, the product text strings have not been localized and will appear in English.) Language packs can be downloaded and installed from the Microsoft Download Center and can be configured for any website.

To prepare a localized installation environment for Workflow Server:

  1. Install Windows OS in its native language (English, French, German, Spanish).
  2. Install SharePoint with its corresponding localized installers.
  3. Install Workflow Server using the installer appropriate to the SharePoint version.
  4. Run a 'Repair' operation on the Workflow Server.

To prepare a localized installation environment for Workflow Designer:

  1. Install the Windows OS in its native language (English, French, German, Spanish).
  2. Install Office with its corresponding localized installers.
  3. Install Workflow.

Note: The library name for the document workflow (docex) site should be same as it was in the native SharePoint language, even after the language pack is installed.

For Winshuttle Server versions 10.6 and earlier (i.e. does not apply to 10.6.1 and later):

You will also need to configure the following SVConfigurator key to ensure Workflow Server functions properly:

  • Key - SecurityAuthenticatedUsers
  • Value - NT AUTHORITY\Authenticated Users

See Changing Workflow Settings for more information about SVConfigurator and how to change settings.
